Drooby

Drooby doing what she does best.

Drooby is a second cousin introduced in We Love Katamari. Drooby is a cousin who has an appearance of a driller. Under her body is a massive drill that works while she's walking and standing. She is introduced in We Love Katamari then returns to the sequels. Although it looks like the "drill" is made out of metal, the drill is actually made out of bone. This bone is connected to a special muscle that enables it to spin at max speed. Most striking, however, are the two massive "power orbs" on her abdomen, which powers the muscle that lets the drill rotate. Velvet once borrowed these orbs.

Trivia

  • Her name is "Boss" in the Japanese version of the game, which sounds vaguely closer to the noise she makes when rolled up.
  • Some think that her English name "Drooby" is a combination of the words "Drill" and "Booby". This is might be due to the drill shape of her body and the large "Mystery Globes" on her abdomen. This is still undetermined.
  • Somehow, the developers of the game got away with giving her two massive exposed breasts. Acording to the Touch My Katamari website, they are Mystery Globes. Velvet (who dubbed them the name "Mystery Globes") later borrowed these when Drooby and the other cousins went on holiday during that game.
